The National Electrification Administration lauded the steps taken by the electric cooperatives to sustain service excellence and adapt to the changing environment in the power industry.

NEA Administrator Emmanuel P. Juaneza attended the Federation of Rural Electric Cooperatives of Region 8 (FRECOR 8) Consultative Conference in Tacloban City on 24 June 2022 which aims to address various concerns affecting its members composed of Don Orestes Romualdez Electric Cooperative, Inc. (DORELCO), Leyte II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LEYECO II), Leyte III Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LEYECO III), Leyte IV Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LEYECO IV), Leyte V Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LEYECO V), Southern Leyte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SOLECO), Biliran Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BILECO), Northern Samar Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NORSAMELCO), Samar I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SAMELCO I), Samar II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SAMELCO II) and Eastern Samar Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ESAMELCO).

He highlighted the active involvement and participation of FRECOR 8 members in properly addressing the current situation in the industry.  He urged the organization to use the feedback and outcomes from the conference as the basis for developing the best and most appropriate strategies, plans and programs that would help respond to the desire of the public for a more efficient, reliable and affordable electricity.

The following day, 25 June 2022, the Administrator went to the Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) of Cebu III Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CEBECO III). He congratulated CEBECO III for its consistent exemplary operational performance, being one of the Triple A electric cooperatives in the country.

"For more than four decades, CEBECO III has set an example of an excellently-run electric distribution utility which has inspired other electric cooperatives to emulate and follow the same path," Administrator Juaneza said in his speech.

Then on 27 June 2022, the NEA Chief graced the 43rd Founding Anniversary of Busuanga Island Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BISELCO). He applauded BISELCO for continuously making reforms to achieve sustainable rural development. "Nais ko kayong pasalamatan sa inyong matibay na pakikipagtulungan sa NEA sa nakalipas na apat na dekada sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulong sa mga adhikain para sa pagtupad ng Rural Electrification Program," the Administrator told the BISELCO officials, employees and MCOs.

On 10-11 June 2022, Administrator Juaneza likewise attended the inauguration of the MCO Building in Coron, and witnessed the ceremonies for the energization of 100 households in Brgy. Tara in Coron and the turn-over of 62 Portable Solar Home System units at Sitio Depelenged in Busuanga, all within BISELCO’s coverage area. ###
