Bohol Solon allocates funds for Sitio Electrification in Bohol

Bohol 2nd District Representative Erico B. Aumentado has allocated P16M from his Priority Development Assistance Fund to support the Sitio Electrification Program of the Government. P15 million will be for the electrification of sitios and public schools while the P1 million as contribution for the energization of the island barangay of Jandayan in Getafe, Bohol.

On February 14, 2012, the Bohol solon entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and the Bohol II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Boheco II) which will implement the program.

Under the terms of the agreement, NEA shall allocate from its budget and release to Boheco II the subsidy equivalent to the total evaluated project cost less the PDAF of P16M for the implementation of the Joint Project.

Meanwhile, Boheco II shall submit to NEA the necessary documents for the release of funds. These include Boheco II board resolution, budget request, program of works and specifications, staking sheets, bill of materials and other requirements. Boheco II will ensure implementation of the projects submitted by the 2nd District Office under the MOA.

There are still 336 unenergized sitios in the Province of Bohol, all under the coverage area of Boheco II. Boheco I has energized all the sitios within its franchise area in July 2009.
