The National Electrification Administration (NEA) inaugurated the one-megawatt (1MW) rehabilitated Amanjuray mini-hydropower plant of the Eastern Samar Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ESAMELCO) which the state-owned corporation originally constructed 33 years ago.
NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda traveled to Lawaan, Eastern Samar with House Minority Leader and 4Ps partylist Rep. Marcelino Libanan on Tuesday, 20 February 2024, to attend the ceremonial blessing organized by ESAMELCO.

The National Electrification Administration (NEA) energized on Monday, 12 February 2024, a geographically isolated community in Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte, which is home to families belonging to the Higaonon tribe.
NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda traveled to the hillside village of Brgy. Bokbokon to lead the switch-on ceremony for Sitio Salaming, one of the recipients of household energization projects under the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of the agency.

The National Electrification Administration (NEA) requested anew the services of educators from the University of the Philippines (UP) to provide competency training and certification programs in electric power distribution system engineering.
This was formalized in a seven-page Memorandum of Agreement (MOA ) executed by NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda and UP Chancellor Edgardo Carlo Vistan II.
